This Privacy Policy explains how Regular ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Regular operates a platform that connects diners ("Customer Users") with restaurants ("Restaurant Users"). This Privacy Policy describes our practices with respect to information collected from both user types, as well as how information flows between Customer Users, Restaurant Users, and the Company.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information:

Email address or phone number
Password (stored in encrypted form)
First and last name
Date of birth
Profile photograph (optional)

Dining Preferences (Customer Users):

Dietary preferences
Drink preferences
Taste preferences
Food allergies and sensitivities

Automatically Collected Information:

Device type and metadata that may be sent as part of web requests
IP address
Location data with your permission - your location may be used to show nearby restaurants, associate data with a restaurant, or to let a restaurant know you are nearby
Crash reports and performance data

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Generate personalized recommendations
Allow restaurants to know you have arrived/departed
Detect and prevent fraud and security incidents
Improve the Service through analytics
Comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. SMS Messaging

If you provide a mobile phone number, we use it for the following purposes:

Sending account verification codes (one-time passwords) to confirm your identity
Account recovery and password-reset messages
Transactional messages related to your use of the Service, such as contacting us and requesting a response via SMS

We DO NOT share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your mobile number or any SMS conversation content to third parties for marketing, promotional, or analytics purposes.

Your mobile number is used solely for the purposes described above.

Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. To request help, reply HELP (or contact us at mh@regulartechnologies.com).

This SMS data sharing restriction applies to all categories of personal information collected in connection with SMS messaging.

5. Data Sharing and Transfers

Third-Party Service Providers:

Your information is processed through infrastructure operated by (but not accessible to) various service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including cloud infrastructure (AWS - Amazon Web Services), email/SMS providers, analytics tools, and customer support services. All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.

We Do Not:

❌ Sell your data to data brokers
❌ Let random third parties access your info

6. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored on secure servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) with appropriate security certifications.

Security Measures:

Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
Encryption at rest for sensitive data
Password hashing
Access controls and authentication requirements based on least privilege

Retention Periods:

Account information: While active, plus reasonable period thereafter
Reservation and Order Data (other than receipts): 7 years for record-keeping
Receipts: Until you delete them
Deleted accounts: Purged within 30 days

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can access, update, or correct your account information at any time through the Settings section of the App.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your account credentials are permanently removed, your profile data is deleted, and any uploaded receipts are permanently deleted.

For EEA/UK/Swiss Residents: You have additional rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint.

For California Residents: CCPA provides rights to know, delete, opt out of sales (note: we do NOT sell data), and non-discrimination.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy in the App or sending an email for significant changes.
